[You need to be set up in Talis, read How do I start with the Talis reading list system?]

Adding Library resources in Summon directly into your reading list (this works for books, ebooks, journal articles, whole journals, reports, and other sources found in Summon):

  1. Hover your mouse over your reading list where you want to add the resource, and click on Add Resource.
  2. This will give you a search box in which you can type the author, title or ISBN-13 of the source.
  3. You will see a list of search results; click on Add to List for the right one.
  4. Now the source is in your list it is please set the Importance of the item - Core, Recommended or Further Reading – this helps determine decisions about journal subscriptions.

Adding articles using the bookmarking extension (use Summon to find articles in the first instance, as this will take you to our access to the article. Many articles are accessed using subscriptions with suppliers like Proquest or JSTOR, not directly from the publisher):

  1. Open a new window in Chrome. Go to https://bradford.summon.serialssolutions.com/  to find the article.
  2. Click through to the article homepage.
  3. Click on the bookmarking extension.
  4. A new window will open with details of the resource. Make sure the Online Resource box is ticked, and then tick DOI in the Online Resource Link popup.
  5. Click on the button “Create and add to list” and complete the boxes.
  6. Set the importance and click OK.
